First, I want to sincerely thank each and every person who takes a moment to read this. You may not realize it, but your time and support mean the world to me.
My story begins before I was even born. I came into this world six weeks premature. My birth parents had traveled to Mexico seeking an illegal abortion. The procedure failed, and instead, the medication induced early labor—bringing me into the world under unthinkable circumstances.
Since then, life has been anything but easy. I’ve endured physical, emotional, and sexual abuse. I’ve spent time in group homes, and by the age of 15, I was thrown out of my mother’s house. At 16, I became a mom for the first time.
Today, I am a single mother of seven beautiful children. I left an abusive relationship with their father, and although that was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, it was also one of the most empowering. Unfortunately, after I left, he began misusing my medical insurance, adding another layer to an already overwhelming situation.
Years of trauma, multiple pregnancies, and ongoing struggles with diabetes and mental health have taken a toll on my body—especially my teeth. I’m now at a point where I need urgent dental care not just for my confidence, but for my overall health. Being diabetic only increases the risks I face.
I’m humbly asking for your help. Whether it’s a donation or just sharing my story and fundraiser link, any support would be deeply appreciated. I’m doing everything I can to be strong for my kids and provide them the life they deserve. Getting the dental care I need would be a huge step toward that goal—and toward finally feeling like I can smile again without shame.
