Hi everyone,
My name is Lily, and I’m fundraising for my dad, Victor, who recently became seriously ill and was hospitalized for several weeks. He underwent surgery and, while thankfully he’s now stable, he will need additional surgeries and a long recovery ahead.
Victor is the heart of our family, a loving husband, a proud dad, and one of the hardest working people I know. For years, he worked two jobs to provide for us and make sure his daughters could go to college. Thanks to his sacrifices, we became first-generation college graduates, something our family is incredibly proud of.
Victor has spent the last 27 years working at Aldersly, a place that became a second home not just to him, but to our whole family. Alongside his wife Ana, and even me, his daughter Lily, who also worked there for several years, Aldersly has been a big part of our lives. As kids, we grew up volunteering there, witnessing the hard work and compassion that shaped our dad’s life.
He has always taken care of others. He goes above and beyond to help people and to assist the residents as if they were part of his own family. Now, we humbly turn to our community for help, because he’s the one who needs care and support.
At just 60 years old, this medical crisis has left him unable to work, and it’s unclear when or if he’ll be able to return to work in the future. With this, our family has lost half of our income and is now struggling to cover his rising medical expenses, especially the cost of insurance now that he no longer has employer coverage.
We’re asking for support to help cover:
- Ongoing hospital and surgery costs
- Monthly insurance premiums
- Living expenses while he recovers
