My name is Bea and I’m starting this fundraiser to raise money to be able to take mine and my fiancé’s 17-year-old kitty, Tonto Cornelius Payne, to the vet to get the treatment he needs. My fiancé rescued Tonto from a storm drain when he was 6 years old, and from the moment they met, they became inseparable, two peas in a pod. Tonto is the sweetest, most lovable kitty who loves jumping on top of doors, cuddles at all times of the day, asleep or not, and loves to lay in the grass on a sunny day. One of my personal favorite things about him is, if you’re having a rough, sad day, he’ll know and cuddle you until you’re feeling better and if he’s upset, he won’t hesitate to let you know by giving a little angry look. He’s taught us how to love and to be patient.
Unfortunately, he has developed an abscess on top of his right hip that is making it difficult for him to walk, let alone jump like he used to. My fiancé and I have been making sure the wound stays clean with daily cleans, but unfortunately, we don’t have the funds to take him to the vet. We don’t like asking for help, but when it comes to our family, it’s a non-negotiable that we do everything in our power to take care of our own. Any amount donated can and will be used to help us heal him. Even if you can’t donate, we greatly appreciate it if you can at least share his story to others. Thank you.
