Support the Michaca Family Through MS Battle

We are Carey Rice and Lauren Vickery. This fundraiser is for our very dear friends, the Michaca family (Zuriel, Rebecca + their four children ages 2-9). Zuriel is a hardworking iron worker. He started having balance issues and was experiencing double vision. Family and friends urged him to get a medical opinion ASAP. After multiple tests, he was diagnosed with MS (multiple sclerosis) in May 2025. He has Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis. (This kind does not go into remission; it continues to gradually worsen over time.) Since being diagnosed in May, he has not been able to work in his chosen career. He also, due to being in the hospital, has not been able to receive unemployment as he was unable/unavailable to work. He is currently trying to take classes in order to obtain training that will allow him to work with his medical issues. Rebecca has also attempted to find work, but child care expenses are astronomical and have made it extremely difficult, if not impossible. Since the diagnosis, the Michaca family is finding it difficult to keep up with bills and they are also at risk of losing their home. It’s a struggle just to keep the utilities on. I know any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much in advance.
