Hello… my name is Etta and my daughter Taniya just found out she has lupus. The lupus has spread to one of her kidneys, and she only has half of her kidney function. Lupus is something I had no idea or knowledge of until now, so naturally, I had a million questions. I was told long COVID was the cause, and cases are on the rise in kids. We had to be the first case of the youngest case at the hospital, which they wanted to do extensive research on her and take responsibility for all invoices. We had insurance while she was working, but it lapsed last month in May. Now, pause a little about my rare diamond. She is a straight-A student, graduated with honors, coils top 5 of our region, hard-working employee of Clarion Legion, self-made cosmetologist with a large client base, plus selling her hair as well. Happy, compassionate, loving, caring, beautiful soul who has always been sick but never diagnosed with anything but asthma, eczema, and allergies. All our lives, we have been trying to understand the invisible opponent we are facing. Now, 3 months ago, she started to hurt and cry all day and night, could not eat anything at all. If she tried, she could not hold it down, so she lost her job, clients, and almost lost her mind!… and me too, feeling helpless. However, we need help with the last couple of months’ medical expenses and prescriptions. I have any documentation if needed.
