If you know Scott, you know he’s a force—tough, adventurous, and endlessly resilient. He never sits still, and he has more friends and more hobbies than most could keep track of, but somehow Scott makes time to fit everything – and everyone – into his life and make us all feel special in the process.
Last year, Scott faced an incredible challenge when he was diagnosed with esophageal cancer. With determination, excellent care, and the support of loved ones, he achieved remission and showed us all what true grit looks like.
But this spring, Scott encountered a new and unexpected challenge.
After a sudden seizure in April and a series of hospital stays, tests, and a brain biopsy, Scott was diagnosed with Leptomeningeal Carcinomatosis (LMD)—a rare complication in which cancer cells spread to the protective layers of the brain and spinal cord. It was a heavy blow, but once again, Scott has met it with incredible spirit and fight.
Scott has been undergoing proton craniospinal irradiation (PCSI) treatment in New Jersey. It’s a promising approach that offers new hope. As he focuses on healing, Scott is also working hard to manage seizures and regain mobility—relying on a wheelchair for now, but determined to get back on his feet.
Through it all, his courage—and the strength of his incredible wife and family—have never wavered.
