Hello! My name is Sarah, I am 37 years old and like the millions of people in the world, I have endometriosis! What is endometriosis you may ask? Well, to make it as simple as possible endometriosis is an often-painful condition in which tissue that is similar to the inner lining of the uterus grows outside the uterus. I also have an endometrioma that causes me severe pain every single day. Currently, I am scheduled for surgery on July 25th with Dr. Dwight Im at Mercy hospital in Baltimore. His plan is to perform a robotic removal of the endometriosis, Hysteroscopy, D&C, and an abdominal wall resection. One of the requirements is that I must get an MRI to hopefully see the extent of the endometriosis. The cost of the MRI is my biggest hurdle right now. Advanced Radiology is by far the cheapest place that I have found for the MRI. My estimated copay is $500. Any help is GREATLY appreciated! Thank you 🙂
