Hi everyone, this is Sarah and Jennifer. Our lifelong best friend Kristy’s husband, Ryan, was recently involved in a serious car accident on May 12th. He is currently still in the ICU with a traumatic brain injury, several brain aneurysms, and a high risk for stroke and heart attack! We are asking for whoever would like to help this beautiful family who has already been through so much to date! Would you please consider donating funds to help with expenses, or donating your time to help with day-to-day life things, chores, groceries, or even yard work? If you would like to donate your time, please reach out Jennifer or Sarah.
We appreciate any help that you may give and thank you in advance for your generosity.
The following is Kristy’s first post on May 16th:
Take me back…Sunday was the perfect day. Never did I think the next day everything would change.
On Monday morning, Ryan suffered a traumatic brain injury as a result of a brain aneurysm rupturing, followed by a seizure and stroke. He is currently in critical condition in the ICU.
I was initially told his chance of survival was very grim due to the severity of his brain injuries along with the risk of his surgeries. Prior to them going in to fix his aneurysm, it ruptured for a second time, and they then noticed another small aneurysm filling with blood. He has a drain in his head to release fluid, and a web material was put on the larger aneurysm to stop the bleeding. By the grace of God, he is still here with us, and he’s fighting so hard every day, defying the odds of the grim prognosis that was originally given. He has a long road ahead of him. What the future looks like is still unknown, but he has come so far in the last few days and has already beaten so many odds that were against him. The strength he continues to show is nothing less than amazing. It is truly a miracle he is still alive after all the trauma his body has endured.
I ask if you could please say a prayer for him during this critical time. It would mean so much. Kellan wants and needs his Daddy home and is missing him terribly, as am I. My heart breaks seeing all he has already had to endure. So please keep those prayers coming for him.
