Hello everyone, I’m Patricia Rogers, Roger’s wife, and while we don’t like asking for help, we need it now more than ever. Roger was severely injured in the left eye, causing him to lose a lot of eyesight. His vision now, as of today, is 20/200, and he is out of work. Insurance will not pay for this incident because the ER is referring him to the eye doctor since he doesn’t have a PCP. We had to go to the ER, and they will not accept the referral with Blue Cross Blue Shield, so we are having to pay out of pocket. He has already had one procedure at the ER and one at the eye doctor. At the first eye doctor appointment, they told us that he is going to have to go in for an MRI and a neurologist appointment as well for some other underlying issues.
We know times are tough on everyone. I, myself, am not able to work as I have been recently diagnosed with epilepsy. So, while I’m waiting on my disability, I am here to ask for help for my husband to help pay for his doctor bills, gas, groceries, and bills, as we are a family of 7 and he is our sole provider until we get him on short-term disability.
While we are sitting here asking for help, we would also like to ask for prayers as well because we believe in the power of prayer. We’ve seen all miracles, large and small, and we have faith his vision will be fully restored in time with healing. Yes, faith has been tested to the limit but not lost, and we all know there is power in prayer and God didn’t bring us this far to leave us. Please, everyone, share and help in any way possible.
