Hi everyone. I’m coming to you with a lump in my throat to ask for help. We have always been a paycheck-to-paycheck family, trying to just survive. Over the last couple of years, we have really been struggling. Between the prices of everything going up and moving my best friend and her two grandchildren in with us and having a total of 8 people living under one roof, it has completely strapped us for cash. I’m unable to work because of medical issues and the same goes for my best friend. Robert has been the only income to support us, and we do get some rent from the boys, but it’s not much. About 3 months ago, Robert started having multiple medical issues causing him to miss a lot of work… A lot of work. He ended up in the hospital looking like his kidneys were failing. They managed to get his numbers down, but now he has lots of doctor’s appointments to figure out what is going on with him. On top of that, he already had Gastroparesis, which has been getting progressively worse. All the work he missed was not covered by PTO because he had already used what he had.
We are behind on everything now. We don’t qualify for a loan because of the debt-to-income ratio. On top of that, our second car, being used by others, needed 2 new tires put on today because they were damaged. I try to help everyone all the time, but this time I am asking for help for myself and my family.
