I stumbled and fell in January. Clumsy me, I guess. I hurt my knee. Thought I’d just walk it off and I’d be fine. Six weeks went by, it still hurt, so I went to the doctor. Did PT thinking I just tweaked the MCL in my knee, but I was getting worse, not better. So I was sent for an MRI to discover I have a COMPLETE RADIAL ROOT TEAR OF THE MENISCUS. I tried the cortisone shots, and I ice it all the time and baby it. And finally talked to a couple of orthopedic surgeons who said total knee replacement is due. It is already bone on bone and causing other problems. So I’m on medical leave and surgery is in August, as I have to wait a certain amount of time after getting the cortisone shots. Help me get by for a few months if you can.
