Support Michael’s Fight Against Throat Cancer

My name is Christine. My fiancé, Michael, had been complaining of a sore throat for about 3 months, and his voice became very hoarse. Myself and his mother finally convinced him to go to the ER to have it looked at. When we went to the ER, we received news that he has about a 5 cm mass in his throat near his voice box, and they referred us to go see an oncologist as soon as possible, which we did. When we went to that appointment, they said there was nothing they could do for us there and referred us to the Medical University of South Carolina to see their oncologist doctor. So, we went there, and the doctor said that Michael is going to have to go through chemotherapy treatment, radiation treatment, and have surgery to remove his voice box. He will be in the hospital for 10 days as long as there are no complications, which we pray there won’t be.
