The last 24 hours have been heartbreaking.
Our elderly family friend, Luann, has experienced two devastating attacks — both involving her roommate’s dog. Two weeks ago, her 11-year-old beagle, Stuart, was attacked and paralyzed. She had to make the difficult decision to euthanize him. Last night, it happened again. Her 7-year-old white shepherd, Winston, was brutally attacked and later passed away at the emergency vet. She herself was seriously injured trying to protect him and was rushed to the hospital.
She has no family here. But my wife, sister-in-law, and brother-in-law stepped in without hesitation — from staying at the vet with Winston, to being by her side in the ER. We couldn’t let her face this alone.
Now, we’re raising funds to help her cover medical and housing expenses (as you can imagine these attacks in your own space can be very traumatic). If you can donate or even just share, it would mean everything.
No one should have to go through this — especially not alone.
