My name is Kam and I rescued Layla, my Great Dane, from a horrible living arrangement. Layla lived in her crate for the first year and 4 months of her life. She was malnourished, emaciated, had no muscle mass, no strength in her legs, and was nothing but skin and bones. When I first met Layla, my heart broke into a million pieces. Some of the pictures are from the day I brought her home. Within 3 months, she gained a good 50 lbs and had so much energy. It was a long 3 months, but I brought my little pony back to life!
Recently, she has stopped eating and drinking, and now I am hand-feeding her watermelon for hydration, chicken, beef, carrots, green beans, and other organic foods.
I am asking for help for her emergency vet appointment, and for the first time in my life, I am reaching out for help. I work paycheck to paycheck, and with her past appointment, I do not have the funds for further testing. Layla and I have been through a lot together, and recently, on June 3rd, my little girl turned 3. I am praying for help so we can make it past another hurdle in her very young years and hoping to have her for many more.
Laylas appointment is this Friday June 13th at 9:00 am and all Funds will be going towards her examination, extensive tests, X-rays and any medications needed for Layla.
Thank you in advance from the both of us.
