My name is Keith Valdez and I am raising money to help care for my father. My father has lived with me for most of my life and has been an integral part of our family and household.
We have been caring for him for some time, but only recently did we learn that he has Stage 4 pancreatic cancer. This came on very suddenly. He did not have much insurance before all this happened, and we as a family have been both devastated by the events occurring and have been drained financially.
To top it all off, just after my father went into the hospital, my company laid me off. We need as much help as we can get. We’ve been driving back and forth between the hospital, which has gotten so costly that I even got myself a bus pass so I can cross town to be with my dad without breaking the bank. But this is a long, long bus ride, and I would like to take the family from time to time, not to mention the fact that I would like to pay the bills while paying the hospital.
