Kathleen Keegan is my sister-in-law, and she’s always been the first to step up when someone needs help. She’s spent years volunteering her time and donating to others, making sure her friends and community have what they need. Just recently, she gave household items to a friend setting up a new home, showing her generosity even while facing her own challenges.
Kathleen has been working as a bartender/server, a job she enjoys, but a recent medical diagnosis has changed everything. She’s already undergone her first invasive surgery and is facing another in about one month. The recovery has been tough—she can’t drive, can’t lift more than a couple of pounds, and needs a caregiver to help with daily activities for a while. With a few months away from work, Kathleen has little income, and bills will still be coming in. She’s struggling to cover her medical expenses, monthly bills, and the unexpected costs that come with treatment and recovery.
