Hello, I am Raquel. A friend reached out to me several days ago from Bolivia. While her travels she reached out to ask me to pray for a young lady who is a burn victim she came to know about while in La Paz Bolivia.
Katherine is a 19-year-old girl from the countryside of Bolivia; a soccer player who moved to the city of La Paz to attend university.
She rented a room and was late 4 days with her payment. The landlord, a woman, had changed the locks, and when Katherine tried to go in, she couldn’t.
So Katherine started calling out, “Let me in, let me in,” only to be met with chemicals being poured on her face and chest.
She went to a public hospital only to be turned away and told to care for it at home.
Then she had to be taken to a private clinic.
Her mom sold some belongings to be able to travel to La Paz and be at her daughter’s side. They are of very low means…
These funds would cover 3 months of hospital stay (which she needs) and 3 surgeries. She had 2 already; on 6/11/25 is the 3rd one.
I am mainly doing this because I want to do more than pray.
This young lady’s life will forever be changed. Help me to alleviate this financial burden while she gets the medical attention she needs. Thanks.
