Support Katherine Ross in Her ALS Battle

Katherine Ross, her husband Art and son Liam, are facing an unimaginable blow. In March Katherine was diagnosed with an accelerated form of Bulbar ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. This is a cruel and non negotiable diagnosis that will, sadly, cut Katherine’s life short.

Katherine has been a light in the film and photo industry for decades. She has never been afraid to ask a question or share her expert opinion. She has been a generous teacher, true friend, great neighbor and has pushed us all to be better people.

As many of you know this diagnosis has greatly altered Katherine’s ability to move in the world and she is no longer able to do a lot of what we all take for granted; speaking, swallowing, breathing, walking, all now require strenuous effort.

Katherine’s greatest joy these days comes from friends dropping by to visit and share as smile, laugh or a favorite memory. Please feel free to stop by and visit them in their new basement ADU, it will light up her face and yours.

Right now she needs our support and the need is URGENT! We have created this page to rally around Katherine and Art to help with the many additional expenses and the serious financial strain that has resulted from this dreaded diagnosis. The medical bills, monthly expenses and special needs are piling up daily.

We know it’s a slow time in our industry and in many others, but we’re hoping we can all still find a way to give. As a freelance community we really are dependent upon each other and on our friends. So please give today if you can and keep this wonderful family in your thoughts.

Sending you all a big thank you!

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
