Hi, my name is Justin Duckett.
In October 2022, I was diagnosed with COVID-19-induced nephrotic syndrome. I began responding well to treatment, and things were looking up—until life took an unexpected turn. In March of the following year, I was rear-ended by a drunk driver while stopped at a traffic light. The impact caused an acute kidney injury that pushed me into end-stage renal failure.
Since then, I’ve been on dialysis three times a week, 4.5 hours each session. While I’m holding onto hope and beginning the testing process for a kidney transplant, the medical journey has taken a serious financial toll. Copays, treatment costs, and ongoing bills have become overwhelming.
I’m reaching out for support—whether it’s a donation or just sharing this story. Every bit of help brings me closer to a healthy future and allows me to focus on healing, not just surviving.
I’m deeply grateful for the love and strength from my friends and family. You’ve kept me going through the hardest times, and I love you all.
With heartfelt thanks,
Your forever friend,
Justin Duckett
