Judyth Vary Baker has spent the last 25 years defending the love of her life, Lee Harvey Oswald.
As a gifted scientist once lauded for her achievements at an early age, Judyth’s life should have been safe, secure, and productive, except for three facts:
- In 1963, the CIA recruited her to help develop a biological weapon to give lung cancer to Cuban dictator Fidel Castro.
- The CIA and FBI used fake “communist” and “pro-Castro” activist Lee Harvey Oswald to protect the project from Castro’s spies.
- The young scientist and the young “pro-Castro activist” fell in love.
Judyth has witnesses on record who saw her with Lee regularly, and she saved key evidence of Oswald’s innocence, but this made her a target when she finally spoke out in 1999. As the last living witness to Lee Oswald’s true identity and history, for 25 years she has faced rejection by her family, death threats, persecution, false accusations, hardships, and a shocking lack of safe access to medical care as a consequence.
After surviving car accidents (including a cut brake line), threats, stalking, and harassment, between 2007 and 2020, Judyth, forced into exile, moved every 90 days to stay safe, as her passport makes clear. Trapped by the COVID lockdown when she made a 6-day visit to the US in 2020, Judyth’s safety net of friends and safe houses overseas was ruined. Early this year, Judyth learned that the accumulation of injuries, especially to her neck, was leading to blindness and paralysis of both hands and arms. Emergency surgery saved her left eye after she was assaulted in Albuquerque, thanks to a fundraiser.
Judyth founded the annual JFK Assassination Conference (2013-2022) and still runs the Annual JFK Remembrance Ceremony held every Nov 22 in Dallas, at the site where JFK was killed. Millions have watched it on TV every year. Running these events depleted all her income and savings.
In fact, as a US resident penalized for living in exile for 13 years, Judyth would be homeless if she tried to pay for Medicare B. She recently visited overseas to attend funerals of beloved friends in Sweden and got the first exam she was able to afford in 5 years. The exam was necessary because her eyesight was failing and suddenly, she was losing the use of both hands. That’s when she learned that she needs an urgent operation before nerves are severed by a broken bone in her neck. She is facing blindness and paralysis of both hands at any time.
Urgent Funds Needed!
Judyth needs much less money for this operation overseas (location confidential due to her past problems), only about 20% of what it would cost in the US (barring complications).
Estimate $9,000 for operation and recovery days.
$3,000 for flights, MRIs, X-rays, blood tests, and medication.
$1,500 for European health insurance (required even though it won’t cover the operation itself) to allow EU entrance for medical treatment, food, assistant, physical therapy, and internet for 6 weeks.
The total needed is $13,500.
In the US it would be over $100,000.
