Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,
I am reaching out to you today to ask for support for my dear friend, John and his fiancé Jordan. John is facing some major medical challenges and your generosity can make a significant difference during this challenging time.
John has had 3 back surgeries in total and will hopefully be having his 4th back surgery coming up within the next month.
– John has previously had 3 Microdiscectomies, 2 of which were in the last 2 years. (A Microdiscectomy is a surgical procedure used to relieve pain caused by a herniated disc that is pressing on a spinal nerve) OUCH!!
– They were both failed attempts at resolving the issue (2 herniated lower lumbar disks that seem to be almost collapsing on each other).
Both of these had put John out of work for a period of time. The most current one has put John out of work for the last 5 months.
– When John has this next surgery, he will be having his disks fused and it will require a 2-4 month healing time before he can resume any “normal” activities, which unfortunately includes working.
– The year before John had these back surgeries, he had his spleen explode and lost over half the blood in his body and was told that he maybe had 15 minutes left to live if they didn’t get blood pumped back into him very quickly.
So at the end of the day, it has really been a journey of John and Jordan trying to scramble to come up with the funds to pay not only the never-ending hospital bills but any and all bills pertaining to living expenses.
They have also had to put planning their wedding on hold because John’s health is 100% their priority right now.
A little message from John: “I really appreciate anyone that has helped me throughout this whole process! Right now I can’t imagine a day without pain and really hope that day comes soon. I can’t wait to feel better and to be able to hop back into life! I really don’t like asking for help, but when help arrives, you better believe that it is very appreciated and a gift from God and his people!”
John and Jordan are not ones to ask for help. And if you are lucky enough to know these two incredible humans, you know that they are always the first to help anyone else in need. No questions asked.
And now it is our turn to help the most selfless, amazing people we all know and love.
The Goal:
We are aiming to raise $15,000. This money will go directly towards medical bills and living expenses. Every dollar counts and will bring us one step closer to providing John and Jordan with the support they so desperately need.
How You Can Help:
– Donate: Any amount you can contribute will help. Even a small donation can make a significant difference!
– Prayer: If you’re unable to donate any monetary funds, they can use all the prayers you have.
– Share: If you’re unable to donate at this time, please consider sharing this campaign with your network. The more people who know, the better chance we have to reach our goal.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for your support. Together, we can help John and Jordan during this extremely difficult time. Every kind word, prayer, share, and donation means the world to them.
With love and gratitude,
Randi Jo Wieland
