Hi, my name is Nyssa Castillo and I’m raising funds for my dad’s stroke treatment. My dad has diabetes and high blood pressure. On January second, my dad was slurring his speech, forgetful, and just overall had lower mobility than normal. What we thought had been a reaction to his blood pressure and blood sugar dropping or going too high resulted in us taking my dad to the hospital. After many tests, and after being discharged and taken to several different doctors, it was determined that my dad had suffered a stroke. From January till now, my dad has seen many doctors and specialists still trying to find a way to get it under control and cure it.
The 2 days before my graduation, my dad went back to the hospital for left leg numbness. He lost mobility and now has to walk with a cane. However, this past week took a turn for the worse. My grandfather went to the hospital on Monday, and in between my mom and I taking turns staying with him, I noticed something was wrong with my dad. He couldn’t move his left arm and he had facial drooping. He is currently in the ICU awaiting the news that he may need brain surgery.
I’m a very stubborn person; I get that from my dad. I don’t like asking for help, but this time we really need it. Please help in whatever way you can, whether it’s a donation, a share, or a prayer, anything helps.
