Support Jake’s Healing Journey

If you know Jake Hyde, you know he is always the first person in the room to lend a helping hand. You also know he is going to hate this request on his behalf. After a recent traumatic incident with an immense physical, emotional, and financial toll, we are asking for help in showing up for Jake, Tasha, and family as they have done for so many of us.

After several days in the trauma intensive care unit, Jake spent his 34th birthday undergoing spinal surgery to treat some of his injuries. He is already cracking jokes, putting a smile on everyone’s face, and asking others how THEY are after HIS surgery. While we are so grateful to see him doing this well overall despite the circumstances — Jake, Tasha, and family have a very long road ahead. They will need significant support as he continues to go through treatment.

And as if having trauma surgery on your birthday isn’t ironic enough, Jake and Tasha had previously secured a new apartment they will need to move into during the month of July. With limited ability and time, moving costs will be much greater than initially anticipated.

We want to ensure they can focus entirely on healing and transitioning to their new home without the added burden of financial stress. We’d also say Jake deserves a kickass birthday party.

Any amount or kind of support you are able to give is greatly appreciated. Thank you for considering to donate funds through here, to Tasha directly (Venmo @Natasha-Friedman), or donate your time to help them move (reach out to Chloe & Kevin). And, to Jake’s recovery, huzzah!

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
