Support for Libby Robles’ Lung Transplant Journey
Libby Robles, a 48-year-old wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister, was diagnosed with pulmonary lung fibrosis after contracting COVID-19 in late 2021. In early 2022, she developed severe COVID pneumonia, which led to further complications. Since then, Libby has undergone numerous tests and procedures as doctors work to determine the full extent of her condition and any underlying autoimmune disorders.
Throughout this difficult time, Libby and her husband Raul have been traveling regularly from their home in San Angelo to Dallas, meeting with her medical team and preparing for the next step in her care.
After a long and emotional process, Libby was officially added to the double lung transplant list on Friday, June 6th. Miraculously, just six days later, on June 12th, she received a match and underwent an 11-hour transplant surgery. She is now in the early stages of recovery—a journey expected to last at least six months.
Her daughters, Skye and September, husband Raul, parents Rebecca and Juan, and sister Leonor will take turns staying in Dallas to care for her during this critical time.
We’re reaching out to ask for your support—no donation is too big or too small. Every gift helps Libby’s family manage the financial burden of extended travel, housing, time off work, and long-term care.
If you’re unable to give financially, your prayers and well wishes are deeply appreciated. Please also take a moment to pray for the donor’s family, who made the most selfless decision during an unimaginable loss—giving Libby a second chance at life.
And finally, if you feel called, please consider registering as an organ donor when you renew your driver’s license. One decision can save multiple lives.
From Libby and her entire family, thank you for your love, support, and kindness during this journey.
