Our son, Cohen Rhett, was born eight weeks early and is currently receiving care in Mobile, Alabama. While we’re grateful that Cohen is stable, he’s still facing challenges with feedings and will need to remain in the hospital until his original due date of August 1st. This has been an emotional and exhausting time for our family as we adjust to the unexpected journey of having a premature baby.
We are thankful to be staying at the Ronald McDonald House, which is saving us from having to travel back and forth right now. Soon, though, our commute will be an hour and 10 minutes each way as we return home and continue supporting Cohen. We’re also facing increased expenses for food and lodging as we try to stay close to the hospital and support our son through his recovery. On top of this, my husband recently lost his job because he needed to take care of me after my emergency surgery. With just the two of us managing everything, the financial strain has become overwhelming.
We’re reaching out for help to cover these essential costs so we can focus on Cohen’s care and well-being. Any support will go directly toward travel, meals, and lodging while Cohen remains in the hospital. If there are any funds left over after Cohen’s stay, we will donate them to the Ronald McDonald House to help other families in need. Thank you for considering helping our family during this difficult time. Your kindness means more than we can express.
