- As hard as it is to ask for help, sometimes we need it, So I’m glad to be joining this community and connecting with all of you. My little girl is six years old and we recently received the news of her brain stem glioma diagnosis. Emma’s a vibrant child with such a big and beautiful heart, she loves all things Horses and all things Disney, yes Brave is one of her favorite movies. She wants to be a Veterinarian and a Doctor one day (big goals for this kid!) She has a 10nyea rold and 18 year old brother whom she adores and loves..so it’s been a challenging time, Chemo is hard and its even harder when they tell you theres only a 30% chance… our finances are pretty broken right now, My husband has been placed out of work from falling out of a tree, he can’t go back until he is clear and seizure free which is projected to be November, This leads to some very Big problems, on top of weekly chemo trips to chapel hill NC (parking deck fees, food fees, gas gas and more gas fees) we are faced with our every day bills, gas, groceries, mortgage, insurance, car. etc etc, we’ve cut everything off to the bare basics and it’s never easy to become so vulnerable and openly transparent to others but here we are asking for help, help we desperately need, a blessing we desperately need. We’re staying positive and taking things one day at a time giving it to God and sharing with our friends and family and You..Sending Love. Faith, Prayers and Strength to everyone facing similar struggles. #brainstemglioma #pediatriccancer #childhoodcancer
