Our sweet Dover, at just 15 months old, has recently been diagnosed with metastatic neuroblastoma, with large growths found in his skull, behind his eyes, in his spine, and around his kidneys. This news has profoundly impacted our family, bringing with it a wave of uncertainty and concern for Dover’s future.
While the medical team has given us a promising prognosis, the path to recovery will be a long and challenging one. Dover’s treatment plan spans over a year, involving a rigorous schedule of chemotherapy, surgery, radiation, and immune therapy. This also means frequent and essential travel to Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City from our home which is about a 45-mile drive.
As we navigate this difficult period, the financial burden of Dover’s treatment is apparent. We are reaching out for support to help us cover some of the mounting costs, which include copays and deductibles for medical services. Additionally, we are facing expenses for fertility preservation methods that are unfortunately not covered by our insurance, an important consideration for Dover’s future well-being.
Any contribution, no matter the size, would be a tremendous help in alleviating these financial pressures and allowing us to focus our energy on Dover’s health and recovery. Your generosity would provide much-needed relief during this challenging time and help ensure Dover has everything needed for a successful fight against neuroblastoma.
We are incredibly grateful for your consideration and support.
