We are asking for your support of Doug Halsema’s continuing battle with Stage 4 Melanoma. Since his journey began in October of 2022, his cancer has been stable until last month when 3 new areas of growth showed up in a scan.
Doctors have said his only recourse of treatment is a clinical trial at Northwestern in Chicago that has shown some success.
Doug has already started with pre-op testing to begin trial infusions.
What this means for Doug and his fiancee, Cheree is multiple daily trips to Chicago from their home in Hebron, for scans, bloodwork, and infusions.
With parking and tolls averaging $50 per visit, it is extremely taxing on their finances to say the least. This does not include gas, food, and at times hotel stays.
We are reaching out asking for your help with donations to assist with these continuing expenses as Doug continues his battle with this dreaded disease.
Helping them with these expenses will relieve Doug’s mind of financial worries and allow him to focus his energy on his healing journey. Whether you are able to donate or not, please remember Doug with healing thoughts and prayers.
