Support Dennis Helmer’s Stroke Recovery

Hi, friends & family! As many of you know, that have been following for updates, my father Dennis Helmer, had a stroke last month. It’s by God’s grace that he survived. He received emergency brain surgery and has lost use of his arm & leg on his right side, he also has some speech issues. He is currently at Park Manor skilled nursing in The Woodlands. As a family, we have seen such a big shift since he transferred here. At this time, Medicare will only cover the first 20 days and after that it’s $209 per day. We are asking for assistance to cover the cost of his continued stay so that he can get the help he needs to fully recover. We are also trying to raise funds for his continued care after he gets released from skilled nursing and all the medical bills that will start to come in. We are currently applying for all available assistance programs through the VA and the state. These applications can take months for approval/denial. The medical equipment we will need for my dad when he comes home are: a shower bench, sara stedy, exercise bike for stroke patients, better wheelchair, portable toilet and/or assistance bars for toilet, walker, ramp, & several other mobility aids. If you happen to feel led to donate to help my parents out in their time of need please do so. Anything is helpful and our family will be forever grateful. To God be the glory as He is the ultimate physician and healer.

James 5:14-15 AMP

Is anyone among you sick? He must call for the elders (spiritual leaders) of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
