In January, in Minnesota, David was involved in a head-on collision with another semi-truck. The other truck lost control and veered into David’s lane. The other driver was both speeding and texting when he lost control of his vehicle. He was convicted of causing the accident. David veered to the left to avoid the accident but was unable to. MSP crash reports reflect this and that David saved the life of the other driver. David suffered a destroyed shoulder, crushed hands, severe back injuries, and lifelong mental difficulties.
We suspect the other driver is a newcomer to this country. His insurance offered a $2,000 settlement.
David’s losses total over $1.2 million as we speak, from hundreds of thousands in loss of equipment to months and months of lost wages.
Now, after losing his entire business, his wife became severely sick with pulmonary fibrosis. This became inflamed with COVID pneumonia. She is to the point of needing a lung transplant.
The medical bills from the truck accident and his wife’s illness have become unattainable. She spent 6 weeks in the hospital and will need another 4 months stay at the UofM after the lung transplant.
Please help fight the high medical cost of this disease.
