My name is Don Moots, I’m the youngest child in my family of seven. I have an older brother David, or Dave as is his friends call him. Dave and I are ten years apart in age. When our dad died when i was 13 Dave stepped up and did a lot of things a son/ brother shouldn’t have to do. He helped with things at home, while working, and also helped to pay off our dad’s funeral. Dave has helped me out in a lot of ways, from being a level head to talk to to being someone I could count on for about anything I needed.
Dave has made his living by driving a truck and as of now that may be over. Dave had a heart attack in 2016 in CT and mad a recovery and had been doing pretty up to now. Last Sunday night I got a call that he was going to the ER and it got worse from there. Monday morning he was in ICU and on a ventilator. Dave got pneumonia, and then his heart function dropped to 8%. Dave has been on a ventilator for four days with a balloon helping his heart to push blood.
This road to recovery will be long and not sure what the future holds. David’s company doesn’t offer any type of short term disability and the road to a full medical disability decision is very long. I know that times are hard for all of us and nobody has money to just throw around, I’m asking for shares and if you can spare even a few dollars would help. I wish I could support Dave as well as my family but I just don’t have the means. If we get people to share and donate maybe we take some of that stress from him and make his recovery a little bit easier. Thanks for taking the time to read this far and please share.
