Our fellow RN, Tania Soto, brought her partner Colby to the Emergency Department at the end of May with sudden onset visual changes, dizziness, aphasia, and nausea. A code stroke was called from triage. Colby’s imaging revealed he did have a stroke. He was discharged from PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center with PT/OT/SLP as well as a cardiology follow-up to investigate repairing a congenital heart defect he has called a PFO. Colby’s symptoms are slowly improving, and he is excited to get back to work as soon as he can! Our Tania is taking excellent care of him and her family. The medical bills are stacking up. Let’s help Colby and Tania pay for his ED visit, hospital stay, and follow-up appointments. Sudden medical emergencies can happen at any time. They are stressful and unexpected.
