, my name is Faith, and I’m reaching out during the most difficult time of my life.
On June 4th, I got the call no one ever wants to receive… My sister, Charity, who has been bravely fighting Acute Myeloid Leukemia since July 2022, was being rushed to the ICU due to respiratory failure. Doctors were preparing to intubate her and place her on life support.
We live 2,800 miles apart. I had never flown before, but I didn’t think twice. I packed a bag, prayed for strength, and got on the first flight I could to be by her side.
Charity spent six agonizing days on life support. Each day was filled with fear, tears, and uncertainty. But by the grace of God and with the help of an incredible medical team she pulled through.
However her fight is far from over.
Since coming off life support, Charity has been left extremely weak. She will need intensive rehabilitation to regain mobility, relearn basic motor skills, and rebuild her strength physically and emotionally, before she can begin the next round of chemotherapy.
I’m asking for your help to support Charity’s recovery and to allow me to remain by her side as she continues this battle.
Your donation will help cover:
* Travel and lodging so I can stay near her during treatment
* Ongoing care as she prepares for chemotherapy
* Daily meals and essentials while I’m away from home
No one ever expects to be in this situation but here we are. And right now, we’re relying on faith, love, and the kindness of others to get us through.
If you can give, please know every single dollar makes a difference. And if you’re unable to donate, sharing this campaign and keeping Charity in your prayers means the world to us.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Faith
