Support Bill’s Fight Against Colon Cancer

Two weeks ago, Bill went in for a routine colonoscopy and the unimaginable happened. They found a large mass in his sigmoid colon that is blocking 2/3 of his colon. The GI doctor was certain it was cancerous, but we still needed to wait for the pathology report. Well, 2 days later, they called us and told us that Billy does indeed have colon cancer. Our world was flipped upside down and things started to move very quickly. We met with the colon surgeon last week and surgery is scheduled for next Friday, June 13th. This week, we had his ostomy bag training, his pre-op appointment, his CT scans, and our consultation with the oncologist. He is thinking Billy is either in stage 2 or stage 3, but won’t know for sure till they do more testing on the mass once removed.

So needless to say, we are scared shitless and are overwhelmed with all these medical appointments, all this information, and how much this is costing us. It was recommended that we start a fundraiser to hopefully get some help with the medical bills and everything that will come from this. The surgery he will have next week will involve cutting a large piece of his colon out and reattaching it. He’ll be out of work for a while recovering, and we also found out that once he starts his chemo, he’ll be out of work even longer because he can’t be in the sun during treatment and his work requires him to work outside. Our lives are already overwhelmed with Mason’s medical needs, and adding this just makes it a little more difficult. Honestly, I’m not sure how we will be able to do all of this, which is why we are asking for help, even though we hate to have to go this route. So any donation is greatly appreciated, and if you can’t, then please share this. It will be greatly appreciated!!!

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
