On May 17th, our friend Ben Alvord was competing in a mountain bike race when a serious crash left him with devastating internal injuries. During the accident, Ben suffered a severe laceration to his pancreas. After being admitted to Dartmouth Hospital, doctors had to remove most of his pancreas, as well as his spleen and gallbladder.
This was a major, life-changing event for someone who has always been active, energetic, and full of life. Ben’s passion for mountain biking and the outdoors is only matched by the kindness and positivity he brings to everyone around him.
As Ben begins the long road to recovery, he’s facing:
An extended hospital stay and ongoing medical care
Major lifestyle adjustments
Lost income during his recovery period
Significant out-of-pocket expenses for treatment and recovery support
We’re asking for your help to ease the financial burden on Ben and his family during this challenging time. Your donation will go directly toward covering his medical expenses, rehabilitation costs, and day-to-day needs while he focuses on healing.
If you know Ben—whether from the trail, the community, or simply as a friend—you know how strong and generous he is. Now’s our chance to show up for him.
Thank you for your support, encouragement, and kindness. Every contribution truly makes a difference.
