Hi, my name is Markayla Parkinson and I’m creating this fundraiser on behalf of my beloved aunt, Avia Barrett.
Avia has always been the kind of person to put others before herself — caring, hardworking, and full of life. But over the past year, her world has changed drastically. She was diagnosed with Stage 5 Renal Failure, a progressive illness that has left her unable to work and dependent on regular dialysis treatments to survive.
Dialysis is not only physically draining, but also financially overwhelming. Without a stable income, covering the ongoing costs of her three days per week treatment, transportation, and daily living expenses has become incredibly difficult.
