Hi,
My name is Ruth and I’m campaigning to raise money for my 27-year-old nephew, Arturo, who recently underwent surgery to remove a non-malignant tumor from the left side of his brain. Surgery was successful in that it stopped the daily seizures he was having, but unfortunately, it left him disabled. The right side of his body was paralyzed, and he was unable to speak. Physical therapy has helped; he went from a wheelchair to a walker, and now he’s able to walk, although that’s still a struggle. He’s also now talking thanks to speech therapy. Unfortunately, though, he still doesn’t have use of his right arm and hand and has minimal use of his right leg.
Most of the therapy Arturo has had so far was paid for out of pocket, and he doesn’t have the means to continue it. He isn’t able to work with his disabilities and has been trying to get on disability for 3 years but so far hasn’t been approved. There is a wonderful rehab program in the same town he lives in that specializes in his specific needs, but that would cost between $800 and $1,000 per month.
Arturo is a loving husband, father, son, and brother who wants nothing more than to be able to support his family, play with his kids, and engage in all the normal family activities. Any amount of help that you can give will be so, so appreciated.
