I’m Paul Cottrell, and I’m making this fundraiser to help my friend Alyssa Jones. She has been affected with postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS), a Chiari brain malformation, a cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) block, and is being tested for Multiple Sclerosis (MS).
She needs a specialized wheelchair that she can use to travel around and retain some autonomy and comfort, allowing her to potentially get a job and live out more of her days as the kind woman she is. Alyssa’s current wheelchair is incredibly bulky, weighing 40 lbs and causing massive strain on her shoulders by making her bow them; this causes incredible strain on her body to the point that if someone doesn’t take their time to push her, she’s unable to sleep at night.
