Hi everyone,
I’m putting this fundraiser together for my sister, Alyssa, who has recently gone through a life-changing medical event.
Over a month ago, Alyssa was hospitalized with a paralyzed arm and leg and admitted to an inpatient rehabilitation center. Soon after, her condition worsened. She experienced serious complications, required life-saving intervention, and was flown to Westchester Medical Center on a ventilator. Thankfully, she’s now been medically stabilized and has re-entered physical rehabilitation.
That said, things are still incredibly difficult. Alyssa is facing a new disability, a long and uncertain road to recovery, and is unable to work for the foreseeable future.
On top of the emotional and physical challenges, the financial burden is overwhelming. Between medical bills, ongoing care, and day-to-day living expenses, it’s simply too much for one person to manage alone.
We’re hoping to raise $10,000 to help Alyssa cover essential costs while she focuses on healing. All funds will go directly toward:
-Medical care and rehabilitation expenses
-Rent, groceries, and other essentials
-Supportive equipment or home modifications
-Transportation to and from appointments
If you know Alyssa, you know how much she means to those around her. She’s one of the warmest, most giving people you’ll ever meet, and she’s always shown up for others in whatever way she could. Now it’s our turn to show up for her.
