Hi, my name is Ash, and I’m fundraising to get a medical alert and mobility service dog to help me manage chronic pain and Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS)—a disabling condition that affects my ability to stand, walk, and function safely day to day.
Almost every day, I deal with stuff I’ve never had to deal with in the past since 2 years ago involving dizziness and fainting from POTS, especially when I stand or walk. Severe chronic pain makes it hard to move, bend, or complete basic tasks. Constant fatigue, joint instability, and moments where I can’t even get up without risking collapse. These symptoms affect everything—my independence, my safety, and my ability to work, socialize, or live life freely. Some days, I don’t even want to get out of bed and just lay there all day.
Unfortunately, service dogs are very expensive and go way out of pocket for me, especially not having a job at the moment due to the disability.
Every dollar you give brings me one step closer to living safely and independently. If you’re not in a position to give, please consider sharing this campaign. That alone could make all the difference.
Thank you for reading my story, for caring, and for being part of this journey. Your kindness and generosity mean more than I can say.
