Jan was diagnosed with Mantle cell lymphoma in August 2018. In January of 2019 had to take a early retirement due to her health. Until this time it has silently remained a part of her daily living. Fighting fatigue daily. Getting blood draws and CT scans every six months became a part of her life.
Then in February she had Influenza A . She never recovered from that. With major weight loss and extreme weakness.
2 weeks ago she went to the local ER. Was admitted with very high blood pressure, high calcium, and UTI. With more testing done it was revealed that her cancer had progressed with revenge. Now in the spleen and bone. She is very sick with extreme weakness and bouts of vomiting. She’s going forward with oral chemo. Her insurance is not covering all things required for her to fight this. Therefore we are asking those who know and love Jan (Bessey) Wheeler a former RN at Jamestown (WCA) Now UPMC Chautauqua to help cover cost of copays and other medical expenses.
