Hello, I’m Maria, and I’m running this fundraiser for Greta, an 18-year-old girl with incredible bravery who is prepared to embrace who she really is and start her transition.
Greta has always felt that the person she appears to be is not who she really is. Coming out as a transgender girl has been a big and emotional step, but now she has to deal with the challenging part of beginning her transition and getting the social, emotional, and medical support she needs to live her true self.
Unfortunately, Greta lacks the financial resources and family support necessary to pay for the therapy, hormones, doctor visits, and other daily necessities that come with transitioning.
The following will be covered by this fundraiser: Medical care that is gender-affirming (hormone therapy, doctor visits), counseling and support for mental health, needs for clothing and personal hygiene, and changes to the legal name and documents.
