This past Saturday, June 14, Alexa Carrasco, 21, was peacefully protesting with me at the No Kings protest in Riverside, California, standing up for a cause she deeply believed in. A car violently rammed through the crowd, and Alexa was tragically run over.
She was rushed to the hospital and is currently in critical condition in the ICU with life-threatening injuries. She is scheduled to undergo surgery later today, and while we have limited information from doctors at the moment, we know her recovery will be long and incredibly difficult.
Alexa is loving, outgoing, and full of life. She’s the kind of person who always shows up for others, and she was so proud to be out there using her voice. She did not deserve what happened to her.
This fundraiser to help ease the financial burden on her family as they face mounting medical bills, time away from work, and the emotional weight of caring for Alexa through this crisis.
Please consider donating or sharing to support Alexa’s recovery and to show love to her and her family during this unimaginably painful time. Every share and donation truly makes a difference. Let’s make a difference in helping our community and show love and support.
