My name is George Liss, a 75-year-old Vietnam vet. I’m fundraising for myself. As you can see, I was recently in the hospital. I wish I could download the video of the reason I need a little financial assistance and why I was laid up for a month at the new Lutheran hospital in Wheatridge, CO.
Then two months at a rehab facility run by the VA. Now I’m doing PT at my house for a month, and now they want me to drive 45 miles one way to continue rehab. Gas is still not that cheap.
I got hit by a car in a grocery store pedestrian crossing. Lucky the hospital was only a five-minute ride. Had 14 breaks on my ribs on the left side alone, broken scapula, punctured lung, and broken pelvis on both sides of my tailbone.
Lost 4 months’ pay so far and need to survive while the insurance companies fight it out. So as a senior citizen and a veteran, I am asking for a little help to get me through this period in my life. We still don’t know if there are any permanent injuries that will add to the lawsuit, but that could take many months. I just need some immediate help with bills and food. God bless you either way.
