Skye’s Fight: Medical and Housing Aid

My name is Ryn and my close friend Skye is in emergency need of funds for housing, living, and medical costs. They have been such an amazing friend to me for the past 2+ years I have lived in Toledo, and they are so kind-hearted and deserving of only the best this world has to offer. But, right now the world is giving the opposite, with medical crises and complications, mental health challenges, and struggling with housing and losing all of their hard earned savings to an extended stay hotel so they don’t end up on the streets (and they have been on waitlists for all the women’s shelters for a while now, everything is full). They have been SO diligent in exhausting all of their options, and now Skye needs support from a loving community!

Here’s the lo-down of their health in their own words: “I have gastroparesis and epilepsy. Have had epilepsy since I was a teen and was diagnosed with gastroparesis this past February. I have to have a surgery within the next few months where I’ll need a stable place to recover from it. It’s a GPOEM surgery so that I can eat and drink and take medication without getting sick. The gastroparesis makes me sick during flare ups to the point where I need medical help for nausea/vomiting, and the seizures happen most when my stress levels are high/I’m not properly hydrated. I also am struggling with my mental health, so housing will definitely help me stay in recovery.”

If you have anything, even $5, please consider helping a sweet person get back on track and able to focus on thriving instead of just surviving!

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
