Our dear friends Nate and Rachel are going through the unimaginable. Their beloved dog Sugar—their loyal companion of 10 years, hiking buddy, sailing partner, and best friend—has been diagnosed with widespread cancer in her spleen, other organs, and possibly her lungs.
Just days ago, Sugar was still smiling her signature grin, floppy ear and all—earning her nickname Sugar Flop. She’s been the heart of their little family: always peppy, loving, and the sweetest big sister to her pup sibling, Cinnamon.
Only a few months ago, Cinnamon faced her own serious health crisis, requiring major treatment for a ligament injury. The vet bills have been overwhelming—and now, as they prepare to say goodbye to Sugar, another financial burden weighs heavily on them during an already heartbreaking time.
We want to help Nate and Rachel give Sugar the peaceful, love-filled goodbye she deserves—without the added stress of money. If you feel moved to contribute toward her final care, cremation, or simply want to show some love, every dollar helps, and every share matters.
This is for Sugar, the adventure pup, the ear-flopped queen of smiles, and a soul who has brought endless joy to everyone lucky enough to know her. Let’s show up for her and for the two people who gave her the best life possible.
