On December 10th, 2024 I had an operation on my sinuses to relieve some health problems I was having but unfortunately my surgery did not turn out well. Due to the negligence of my doctor who didn’t even inform me of the risks of the procedure I have developed a condition called empty nose syndrome. This is a debilitating condition that affects my breathing. This condition only happens when surgery is performed on the nasal turbinates. This condition makes me feel as though I am drowning and suffocating all day. It feels as though someone is constantly standing on my chest. I can no longer work due to the complications of this surgery. There is currently no cure for empty nose syndrome and all treatment is experimental and not covered under any health insurance plans. I will need support to get experimental treatment done and to cover the costs of basic living expenses.
