In September 2024, Patrick lost his mom to an undetermined infection unexpectedly. And she and Patrick had a deal if she would quit smoking he would quit drinking, so on November 19 he kept his promise, he quit cold, turkey, and hasn’t ever wavered, unfortunately it wasn’t soon enough and now they’re complications. Patrick has been meeting with doctors since February to address health issues. And things were going well until Sunday, June 8 when complications made it necessary for him to be flown to a hospital two hours from home for a TIPS procedure which lasted four hours. Medical staff has been doing everything they possibly can, and there have been hopeful signs as well as significant concerns.
Today, June 12, he has had two different procedures to stop internal bleeding with added abilities for medical professionals to give him life-saving nutrition and medications.
there isn’t a quick fix for the situation and it’s not going to be easy, yet he is a fighter and has done and will do everything he possibly can to continue to make a difference in the world and he will make certain his second chance is not wasted.
