Hello, this is my husband Peter. Peter was just diagnosed with an AVM (Arteriovenous Malformation). It is a bundle of veins in his brain tied in knots. He is at high risk of an aneurysm or stroke until he has brain surgery. We see Dr. MacDonald on 6/12/25.
We are trying to raise enough to cover the down payment for surgery and all of the out-of-pocket costs. As of now, Peter is not working, and our two-income household went to one income.
…How we found out…
Peter was in a minor accident in a work truck. He and his supervisor were on the way to do a drug test when he got nauseous and had a headache. They went to urgent care, and his blood pressure was critical, so they sent him to the ER. The ER did a CT and labs to evaluate the concussion. There was no concussion, but his CT was abnormal, so they did another CT with contrast. They told us he had an AVM and needed to transfer us to a larger hospital for further evaluation.
He went by ambulance to CRMC, and they did an MRI and a cerebral angiogram.
His AVM is too big to leave in, so Peter will need surgery ASAP to remove it.
Please find it in your heart to help; anything is appreciated. If not, please share and pray. Thanks.
