Hi, my name is Oscar, and I’m reaching out during an incredibly difficult time. On January 11, 2025, I suffered a severe ankle injury that required surgery on January 23, 2025. This has been an overwhelming and challenging period for me and my loved ones.
While I’m making progress, I’m still in recovery and undergoing therapy, unable to return to my job at the United States Postal Service until July 15, 2025. The coming weeks and months will involve extensive rehabilitation and medical care as I work toward healing.
During this time, I’ve been on unpaid FMLA leave since January 23, 2025, which has placed a significant financial strain on me. The costs of medical bills, therapy, and basic living expenses have been overwhelming, especially without income.
